| After last weeks disappointment, the Seconds secured their first win of the new season with a hard fought win against Fox Sunday. Fox made the early running but the Brews had started to gain control of the game and had missed some good chances when Fox took the lead when a defensive mix up saw Aaren Carlton head past his own keeper. The Brews continued to play the better football and were rewarded for their efforts when Simon Bourne blasted the equaliser after some good work from Dale Davis. Ben Squires-Quinn caused problems throughout for the Fox defence and his penetrating run and cross put the Brews in front when a Fox defender deflected it into the net for the second own goal of the game. The second half saw both sides spurn good opportunities and just when it looked as if the Brews were hanging on a bit, they made the points safe when some good work from Squires-Quinn saw his cross turned in from close range by Dale Davis. |
