The Brews finally netted their first win of the season with a comfortable 5 - 0 victory over Div 2 side Grasshoppers in the 1st Round of the Ashford Charity Trophy. Simon Bourne showed why he has gained promotion to the First Team with a well taken opening goal. Keeper turned centre back, Ben Light, then thundered in a header to make it 2 - 0 before Danny Jennings still showed his ability as the 'Fox in the Box' snapping up two close range efforts. Goal of the game came in the second half when a fine first time passing move was drilled home by Aaren Carlton.  The victory will give the Brews a much needed confidence boost before next weeks trip to Mersham in the Premier Division Cup. However the Brews will now have to do without the services of Ben Squires-Quinn, who is taking some time out to go to Australia and the Club wish him all the best for a safe and happy trip.
